Senior Fun

I was looking through old photos to find what I haven't blogged about over the past year and came across these that I took of Brandy for her senior session last year.  Looking at them I realized how much I enjoyed these - senior sessions are so much different than other sessions I do, maybe mostly because you are hanging out with a teenager who usually doesn't mind doing silly things and having their picture taken.  I usually focus on weddings/engagements and newborn/maternity but would love to spend some more time with seniors getting some fun, artsy photos. Every time I visit a park I'm always seeing little hidden spots where I'd love to put someone for some awesome images.   Perhaps I'll have to talk some of my girls at church into modeling for me :)

Thorpewood beauty

Tiffany & I spent some time driving around after Laura & Kevin's wedding and she showed me the most beautiful areas that we didn't get to use for their portraits since our time at the Falls for bride/groom photos took a big portion of time.  We really enjoyed the beauty of Thorpewood and the staff was so nice.  If anyone is looking for a local outdoor venue you should check it out because it really is gorgeous.  You can see the slideshow of Laura & Kevin's wedding which shows a bit more of Thorpewood in the post below.

Baby B

I was so blessed to spend some time with my friend's newborn a few weeks ago and take some photos when she was still an itty bitty thing.  Here are a few of my faves...

Meghan & John

So I confess.  I've been very bad about keeping the blog updated.  I have, however, been good about updating our sample images on THIS site so you should check them out.

Here are a few images from Meghan & John's wedding that I didn't ever blog about but love the images so I wanted to share.

Daylight Savings come back!!

I hate switching back to 'regular' time instead of having 'daylight savings' time. I personally prefer the extra daylight in the evening rather than in the morning. Families usually spend time together at night, not the morning. Plus the darkness really cuts into my time at the park and going on walks with Landon and I don't like that. Now I have to entertain him inside for hours before bedtime when he is used to being outside. Quite the difficult transition for both of us! Here is a picture from the other night at the park when we were about to leave and the sun was almost gone

Congrats, Jill & Ed

Hooray for the happy couple! Jill & Ed had a simple and sweet ceremony in the moonlight as well as an intimate indoor/outdoor reception with live music. Instead of a wedding cake they had cupcakes that so beautifully fit their theme. And one of the sweetest father/daughter things we've seen - Jill's Dad wrote her a song and sang/played it for her there. I saw lots of tears around the room during that  :)
