I came across an article that talked about a survey that was done by You & Your Wedding (based in UK). Over 1,000 women filled out the survey with about 20% of them saying yes, they would want their bridesmaids to sign a prenup and half of those ladies would kick the bridesmaid out of the wedding party for breaking the contract.
Top offenses were weight gain (not fitting in the dress), a drastic cutting/changing of the hairstyle and getting pregnant.
You & Your Wedding put together a Bridesmaid Prenup agreement based on the answers from the survey. You can download it here. They say it's up to you if you want to use it seriously or just try to have a little fun playing a joke on your Ladies.
What do you think? B-maid prenup a good idea or is it in poor taste?

Victorious Moments
Yesterday my husband Nathan & I took our church youth group to a Ropes Course. You know, the kind where you get to climb stuff in the hot sun and go on a zip line and all that fun stuff. Piece of cake. ;) Actually, the climbing part really was fun & easy but once I was up high I was quite afraid... like walking across a log high in the air and having to pass my husband mid-way across. And when my turn came for the zip line, I knew I had to just force myself to go once the guy counted to 3. Otherwise I'd just talk myself out of it. Even though that first moment was terrifying, I am SO glad I did it!! It was a really challenging day for me personally and also for our group. We really enjoyed seeing our kids work together and build better friendships in the group.

And I am so proud of my friend April, a youth leader that came with us. She is terrified of heights yet managed to talk herself into doing everything the students did the whole day. She's the one in the pic here- I grabbed my cell phone to capture her just as she jumped off the tower on the zip line. I wanted to be sure her husband could see how brave she was!
My muscles are sore today but I can't wait for the next time we get to do something like this. It was so much fun! If you ever get the chance, you should go.

Happy Birthday Lexi!!
It seems it's that time of year when I am taking so many pictures that I fall behind in my editing. However, here is a project finished!! I'm so proud of myself :)
My project completed? Only the most important birthday party that took place last weekend. HERE is a nearly 4 minute glimpse of little Miss Lexi's 5th birthday celebration- of which she is the star of the show. Lexi's silly personality really shines through these pictures. Oh- for those who didn't know, "the boy" is her first little boyfriend "Trih-En" as she says it.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! Let me know what you think.

p.s. for friends & family that may want to purchase pics, please email or call me.

He's finally arrived!
Congrats to Tiffany who's finally popped! She & Kenny welcomed their 3rd child into the world this afternoon. I was blessed to be there and actually photograph the blessed event. (tasteful pics only, don't you worry) ;)
They have not officially named him yet- they have a list of names they like but wanted to meet the little fella before choosing what best suited him. Here is one photo of the little guy- it's up to Tiffany if we post any of the others after I get them edited.

Be sure to post some congrats on here for Tiffany to read once she can have some computer time!

Adam & Sarah's Shower
Saturday night I joined Adam and Sarah along with their friends and family for their wedding shower. The weather was awesome and could not have been better! The shower was Hawaiian themed and let me just say that those cupcakes were AMAZING! Coconut and pineapple YUM! Here are just a few of my favorites from the evening. :) ~Tiffany

p.s. register to view all the photos of Sarah & Adam from now to the wedding. You will be notified as they release them.

Helping Hands
Yesterday I was on my way to a photo shoot for a realtor when my tire blew out while I was driving on the highway. I handled it pretty well and was able to get off the road safely. As you can see, I sure know how to destroy a tire!! Thankfully the realtor wasn't upset when I called to tell her what was happening.
I was shown how to change a tire when I first got my license so I got out and started the process. Thankfully the blown tire was on the side away from traffic and the gazillions of Semis barrelling down the road. I was a little frustrated and had trouble getting the spare tire out of its place but things were moving along until the jack was in place but I could not loosen the bolts. I struggled for what seemed forever and finally had to give up. It had been a half hour of struggle and no one had stopped to help. I called my father-in-law & he was on his way to give a hand when finally a man & his wife stopped. He had seen me and had to go to the next exit to turn around and then loop back around again to my side of the highway. The bolts were a little tough for him too so he stood on the bar to loosen them. I never thought of that!
I am so grateful for this man and his wife for stopping. He said he makes it a point to stop anytime he sees someone in need- that it is better for him to take a few minutes of his time to help rather than risk having somone with bad intentions stop to 'help'. What a great example this man is showing people everywhere! I am thankful that there are still people out in the world that aren't afraid to be good Samaritans. I hope you are one of them too. :)

Break the Surface Photos
The photos from Break the Surface are ready to view!! It took a long time to go through all my photos-- we got our new D3 cameras on Saturday and I'm afraid I was a bit shutter-happy that night. Between my 2 cameras, and with my husband Nathan playing around to also get some shots, I ended up with over 1,000 pictures to go through! After many times of reviewing them I finally got it down to a reasonable number of shots for everyone else to see. Okay, so there probably still is too many (111 just from Sat. night!) but sometimes it's
just so hard to pick and choose. Tiffany is much better at that than I am. :)Speaking of Nathan playing with my camera-- I think he may have found yet another talent to add to his list. The top picture here may be one he took- it's right at the end of when he had my camera so it's either his last picture or my first when I picked it back up again. Regardless of which of us captured it, I really, really like it. I think its one of my top 5 faves from the whole weekend.
If you haven't already registered to see all the photos, just click here -- and make sure to leave us comments here about them!
